WEDDINGS || CORPORATE THEME

A standard favorite catered towards Weddings / Corporate Luncheons / Dinners / Engagements & Product Launches.

INSTRUMENTAL THEME

We can provide instrumental bands (meaning no singing). Just easy listening tunes to a mellow environment like a String Quartet. Good choice for weddings.

CHINESE TRADITIONAL THEME

A unique Chinese instrumental band that may involve GuZheng, DiZi, Erhu, etc. Do let us know what you require before hand.

CHRISTMAS THEME

Another favorite towards the year end. We belt out general tunes as well as some Christmas tunes to usher in the New Year as well.

ROLEPLAYING THEME

Fancy the band wearing superhero or your favorite movie character costumes, let us know. 

RETRO / 80'S THEME

Those who fancy retro styled bands or if you need us to belt out songs from the 70's / 80's, let us know.

ROCK & ROLL THEME

Rock and Roll based theme where we belt out classic metal / rock / Elvis tunes throughout the night.

The Live Band has been in the music industry since 2001 and because of that we have all the necessary skills and knowledge to pull off any event. We have a variety of performers or bands for you to choose from be it String Quartets, Jazz Musicians and other types of bands such as Rock & Roll, Traditional, Festive and Retro themed artists / bands.

Some Advice & Tips

READ THIS : Here are some tips on how to properly engage a band / musician / singer for your event. 

1st Step

Shortlisting Begins

Find out if you need a solo singer, a band perhaps... if it's a band, how many musicians do you need? A solo singer who sings along on Instrumental Music played on a CD? A duo .. perhaps a keyboardist and a vocalist? A trio? A drummer, keyboardist and a vocalist? The higher the number, the more expensive it gets. So be certain how many musicians you need for your event.

2nd Step

Find The Band / Musician

Whether it could be an introduction through an event agency or your wedding planner / a HR personnel's recommendation, you should always shop around for more options. Start Googling around. Once you have shortlisted them, start making contact. If you wish to handle all the communication between all parties involved, then call them one by one to arrange how your event is supposed to turn out to be. Or else, find someone to do it for you like an Event Agency or engage a planner.

3rd Step

What Do The Musicians Need?

In Step 1, you already know how many musicians you need for your event. Next you need to know if the musicians need a 'backline'. A 'backline' is where guitars / amps / keyboards / pianos are needed at your venue. Some of these instruments are too heavy for the musician to carry to the venue thus you may need to 'RENT' a 'backline'. 

4th Step

The Sound System?

Check with the venue if they provide a PA System. Do note that most venues do NOT have adequate sound systems that would fulfil musicians expectations. You certainly do not want crappy or amateurish or bad 'audio' during your event thus you normally NEED to hire a 'sound system / pa system'. 5th Step

What Else Do You Need For Your Event?

Find out if you need Lighting or an EMCEE (what languages do you want him / her to speak in). Who is in charge of the script / rundown for the entire team (who's organising it during the event itself?). Find out if the current lighting at the venue is sufficient for your event. Do you also need a Magician? A sand artist perhaps? A standup comedian? A dance routine by dancers perhaps? Ask us, we can arrange it for you.

Final Preparation

Now you've got all the various parties engaged (Yes please book them in advance, 3 months ahead, 6 months ahead, sometimes 1 year ahead. Ask if rehearsals are needed; send them the rundown of events, tell them who is coordinating the event, share your contacts with them. Tell them what they are supposed to wear, what time they should arrive, what time they should setup, who they should liaise with once they reach the venue, what songs to play, what songs not to play, etc. Once you have sorted everything out, sit back, relax, give yourself a pat on your back and enjoy the show.
